Hello Sports World!

Welcome to my blog!
A little about me: growing up, I wanted to be just like my older brother. No, seriously—I dressed like a boy, played on the boys’ teams, even begged my parents to let me play tackle football. My Kindergarten graduations pictures are proof, knee length shorts, skater shoes and a white boys button up. My childhood was spent trying every sport I could—lacrosse, softball, cheerleading, gymnastics, soccer, basketball—you name it, I probably played it.
When it came time to apply to colleges, I had one non-negotiable: it had to be a big football school. I graduated high school early and spent my first year and a half playing soccer at Mississippi State. After a while, though, I realized I wanted the experience of being a regular college student—and more importantly, a fan. So, I transferred to Clemson and had the best college experience imaginable. I didn’t miss a single football game in Death Valley while I was a student. I got the chance to write freelance for the men’s soccer team during one of their playoff runs and cheered on some of my best friends playing volleyball and tennis. It really was a dream come true.
Football, though, is my true love. I got that from my mom. She’s the biggest football fan I know. She always told me that if she could start life over, she’d take a shot at becoming a color commentator. After years of hearing her rattle off where every NFL player went to college, I can confidently say she’d give Cris Collinsworth a run for his money! I take after her, and I’m extremely passionate (and maybe a little too knowledgeable) about the game.
Sports have taken me all over the world, and I’m grateful for every experience. From East coast to West coast for soccer and softball tournaments, to Charlotte, New Orleans, and Dallas to watch Clemson play. Brazil and Qatar for the Men’s World Cup, and Canada for the Women’s World Cup. I even made it to Miami for the World Baseball Classic!
At the end of the day, my greatest passion is simply talking about sports. I’m starting this blog for me—to share my thoughts, to start conversations, and hopefully to connect with others who love sports as much as I do. Thanks for reading, and I hope you stick around for more 😊
